As a foundational material for sensory integration training, fitness rings are safe, environmentally friendly, durable, fun, useful, highly maneuverable, and replayable, making them a favorite among infants and young children.
This activity helps infants and young children practice fine motor skills like two-finger pinching, as well as gross motor skills like crawling and jumping.
It also improves their exploration, observation, judgment, concentration, visual tracking, and body coordination and flexibility.
Standing on one foot, use both hands to lift the lower leg of your other foot, so that the knee and calf form a "angle."
Then, using force from one leg, jump on the ground.
Then, use the knee of the lifted leg to attack the opponent.
Switching legs is prohibited. Whoever is knocked off balance and drops their leg loses.
Method 1: Place four agility rings on a flat, dry, and safe surface, such as a track and field or basketball court.
Each ring should be approximately 2 meters apart.
Students stand in the center of the agility circle, cross-legged on one leg, ready to jump.
Upon command, jump to the designated color circle.
Upon reaching the agility circle, immediately return to the starting position and wait for the next command.
Perform three sets of 8-10 repetitions each, with a 1-2 minute rest period.
Method 2: Place a rope ladder on a flat, dry, and safe surface, such as a track and field or basketball court.
Form groups of four and stand cross-legged on one side of the ladder.
On command, jump forward, around the ladder, and back again.
High-five the next person in the group, who then starts, and so on.
Each person completes one lap in each round, and the team that finishes first competes.
Perform three sets of 1-2 minute rest periods.
