Wearing protective gear not only significantly reduces injuries caused by exercise but also extends training time and maintains optimal physical condition. Comfort and Fit

Comfort and fit are the most important factors when selecting a helmet. A helmet may not be custom-made for you, but you should have a thorough understanding of the level of protection it provides. Ideally, during training and actual fights, the boxing helmet should not cause discomfort or distract you.

Field of Vision

The best protection is not when the helmet completely covers your head, preventing your opponent's punches from directly hitting your facial features, but rather when you can observe your opponent's incoming punches within a controlled field of vision and respond with appropriate blocks or dodges. Relying solely on a helmet for comprehensive head protection is a foolish training mindset, as it increases your dependence on the helmet and does not benefit your purposeful defensive training.

Filling Material

Standard filling materials are similar to those used in gloves, typically made of expanded EVA foam. However, higher-end or unique helmets may use different filling materials. Some helmets prioritize lightweight design, using high-elasticity, low-density filling materials, though these may not offer the best shock absorption; Some helmets prioritize shock absorption, so the padding may be made of gel, which results in a slightly heavier overall helmet weight. Therefore, when selecting helmet padding, you must also balance shock absorption and weight accordingly.
