This allows you to use footwork to move with the sandbag while striking. In a sense, you will learn how to move your feet while striking a moving opponent, alternating between stillness and movement, punching and dodging the incoming sandbag.

Anyone can learn to strike with force, but achieving accuracy and rhythm in striking requires more time and effort. If you strike the centre of the sandbag accurately, it will not rotate. Some sandbags produce a pleasant thud when struck well, and some people use tape to mark the sandbag for accurate striking.

Your bones will adapt to the force of striking the sandbag, so there's no need to worry about injury. Eventually, you can also perform evasive movements as the sandbag comes toward you, which is more like aerobic exercise.
