2. Avoid leaning on the sandbag

Never maintain your balance by leaning on the sandbag. Once the sandbag is removed, you will lose your centre of gravity and fall.

3. Timing and distance estimation

Stay relaxed and observe the sandbag's swing. When the sandbag moves towards you, use a light punch to control it or a sideways straight punch to counter. When the sandbag moves away from you, quickly step forward and strike. Do not push the sandbag.

4. Always emphasise proper technique

 

Never sacrifice proper striking technique for raw power when hitting the sandbag. Ignoring technique and blindly exerting force not only increases the risk of injury but also hinders the progress of your training plan. Remember, power and speed are generated by proper technique, not the other way around.
