What can you see while snorkeling?

Ideal snorkeling areas typically possess three characteristics:
- Stable coral distribution
- Varied and layered underwater topography
- Relatively gentle currents

If the seabed is flat and sandy, with sparse coral and strong currents, then even if the water is beautifully colored, you'll only see a vast expanse of blue when you go underwater.

The functions of the snorkel and mask:
Mask: Allows you to see clearly underwater. The human eye can only focus in air; it cannot see clearly underwater.
Snorkel: Used to assist breathing while snorkeling.

How to wear a diving mask (to prevent water leakage):
After receiving the mask, first check if it fits your face shape.

Method: Place the mask against your face (without wearing the strap), gently inhale, and then release your hands. If the mask doesn't fall off your face, then it's a good fit.

If the mask falls off, first check if the edges of the mask are intact and if there are any cracks or holes in the lens. If there are none, then the mask is not suitable for your face shape.

Secondly, when wearing a diving mask, it's crucial to ensure all your hair is pulled back (not even a single strand should be left out), otherwise the mask will definitely leak.

Men should also be aware that slightly longer facial hair on the upper lip can also cause the mask to leak.

What to do about nearsightedness?
You can get prescription lenses for your diving mask.

Lens prescription: Diving masks are used underwater, and water causes refraction, so the prescription for the lenses will be 50-70 degrees lower than your normal prescription.

When trying on a prescription diving mask, don't worry if you experience a slight headache or dizziness.

This may be because the refractive power of the mask lenses is different from normal lenses (primarily due to underwater use), and you may need some time to adjust.
