(1) The land should meet the characteristics and technical requirements of golf entertainment activities. It should be located in a location with convenient transportation, beautiful environment, abundant green vegetation and no pollution.

(2) In addition to the main competition course, a golf course should generally include a practice field, clubhouse, logistics services, management office, parking lot, etc., and holiday accommodation facilities, swimming pools and other entertainment facilities can be attached when necessary.

(3) The golf course needs to have a relatively open lawn. It is generally suitable to be set up in a hilly and gentle slope area, covering an area of about 65,000~70,000 square meters. The ground elevation difference at the fairway should be 10~20m.

(4) A formal golf course should be divided into 18 venues of different sizes and shapes. Each venue consists of a teeing tee, a fairway, a green and a hole. The distance from the teeing tee to the hole varies from 548m to 548m. The total length of a standard golf course is 5943m to 6400m, and the width is not fixed. There should be boundary markings around the golf course, and boundary stakes should be set up in key areas. Each sub-venue covers an area of 3~3.5 square meters.

(5) The teeing tee is the lawn for teeing off. There are two ball-shaped marks on the table, about 4.5m apart. The line between the two marks is called the teeing line. The teeing tee is generally 30~150 square meters in area, about 0.3~1.0m higher than the surrounding ground, and the surface is short trimmed grass with a certain degree of hardness and smooth surface. Generally, there are two teeing tee for each hole, one for male and female players. If it is used for formal competitions, a third teeing tee is required. The hole should be higher than the tee, but not more than 20m.
