Lacrosse was an official Olympic sport in 1904 and 1908 but was later removed due to limited international participation. In China, lacrosse was introduced in 1997 by a professor at Beijing Sport University. Although not yet an Olympic sport, its growth in China relies largely on grassroots enthusiasts and community-led initiatives.
