The Origin of Skateboarding
Skateboarding originated in California, USA, in the 1950s. Initially, surfers, when there were no waves, attached roller skate wheels to wooden boards to imitate surfing.
Early skateboard designs were simple, but with technological advancements, designs with "single kicktail" and "double kicktail" emerged, and materials evolved from iron wheels to polyurethane wheels, making skateboarding more diverse and popular.
Early Skateboards
The early stages of skateboarding (1950s) originated with surfing enthusiasts in California who invented it so they could surf on land.
The first skateboards were wooden boards with several rows of roller skate wheels attached to the bottom. The style of riding primarily involved imitating flat-surface surfing movements.
Cruiser Skateboards
Cruiser skateboards are between regular (double kicktail) skateboards and longboards. While any skateboard can be used for cruising, cruiser skateboards are specifically designed for comfortable, convenient, and smooth cruising, wherever you are.
The unique aspect of cruiser skateboards is that they are designed for cruising around and getting from place to place. They are not designed for ultra-long distance riding, downhill riding, or performing tricks at a skate park.
Longboard Cruisers
Longboard cruisers: More stable and easier to control than regular cruiser boards. If your commute involves many rough surfaces, a longboard cruiser will provide a smoother ride than a regular cruiser board. Additionally, with a suitable longboard cruiser, you can attempt to ride longer distances.
Trick Longboards
Dance boards are longboards specifically designed for dancing and freestyle riding. They are characterized by their long and wide decks, making it easy to perform footwork and cross-stepping movements.
