In recent years, with China's economic development and growing demand for sports and fitness activities, the variety and sales volume of sports towels on the market have continued to increase, and their quality and performance have garnered widespread attention from consumers.

When purchasing sports towels, consumers primarily rely on product promotions, performance claims and usage scenarios listed in the instructions, or recommendations from e-commerce platforms and other consumers, combined with their own subjective feelings and preferences. However, consumers often lack practical means to compare or verify whether a product actually possesses the claimed functions or to assess quality differences among various brands on the market. To guide consumers in making informed purchasing decisions, protect the legitimate rights and interests of the general public, and effectively fulfill the social oversight functions regarding goods and services granted to consumer associations under the "Consumer Rights Protection Law," the Guangzhou Consumer Council, following in-depth research, recently collaborated with the Consumer Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region to conduct a comparative test of sports towels, focusing on quality aspects of particular concern to consumers. By comparing the quality of sports towels from different brands, this initiative aims to provide consumers in Guangzhou and Macao with relevant product information and purchasing guidance to better protect their legitimate rights and interests, while also offering reference data for manufacturers to improve product quality.
