Ceramic mug

 

Because of its high appearance and large capacity, everyone likes to use it as a daily drinking cup.

But in fact, some mugs made by small workshops or handmade may have lead precipitation.

Mugs are made of ceramics. In the glazing process, some glazes contain heavy metal lead.

If the temperature is not high enough during the firing process, heavy metal residues will remain.

Try to buy ceramic mugs made by large factories with brand logos, and avoid "handmade" ceramic mugs with decorative patterns on the inner wall of the water.

There is another variant of the ceramic mug - unglazed stoneware cups. The well-known purple clay pot actually belongs to this category of stoneware.

Because it is not glazed, there are basically no toxic substances such as heavy metals.

But the disadvantage is that stoneware cups are really hard to brush compared to glazed ceramic cups.

 

Enamel mug

 

Enamel mug is actually a metal cup with a coating on the surface to cover up the metal's weakness of being easily oxidized.

If the coating falls off, the metal inside will be exposed.

Metal easily reacts with acid and alkali liquids and will also easily rust.

Like ceramic mugs, try to buy one with a clear instruction manual to prove that it is produced in a qualified manner, and choose one with no pattern on the inner wall.

In addition, because it is made of metal, never put it in a microwave oven.
