What Is Mini Basketball?

Mini Basketball is a sport designed by FIBA (International Basketball Federation) specifically for children under the age of 12. Basketball Materials: What Works Best?

The type of surface you play on affects the best material choice for your basketball. Courts can be indoor (smooth, less abrasive) or outdoor (rougher surfaces like concrete or asphalt). The wrong material can reduce ball control and wear out faster. Here's what to consider:

Leather
Best for indoor courts. Leather basketballs provide superior grip on wooden floors (often made of maple) and last longer under indoor conditions. They offer excellent performance, especially when players' hands get sweaty.

Synthetic Leather
