Silicone Mouth Guard

Don't Let Your Teeth Pay the Price for Sports!

Sports are an essential part of modern life-not only for enhancing physical fitness and promoting health, but also for building willpower and cultivating perseverance. However, in certain sports, participants face a significant risk of injuries to the teeth, jaws, and even the brain. Reports indicate that 31% of oral and maxillofacial injuries occur during sports, accounting for nearly one-third of all facial injuries. Among these, oral and dental injuries

make up approximately 50%.

The use of sports mouthguards (MGs) can effectively reduce or prevent damage to the soft and hard tissues of the mouth and is considered the most effective protective measure.

What Is a Sports Mouthguard?

A sports mouthguard (also known as a sports dental guard) is a flexible device that covers the upper teeth. It cushions, absorbs, and disperses impact forces, helping to prevent or reduce the severity of facial injuries during sports. Sports mouthguards protect the jaw, face, and teeth from unexpected impacts in high-intensity and contact sports. They also safeguard the brain, reduce the chance of oral tissue injuries, and minimize injury severity. In essence, mouthguards are the guardians of your teeth during physical activity.

It is recommended to wear a mouthguard during any activity with a risk of physical contact or collision.

Why Wear a Mouthguard?

People-especially teenagers-are more prone to falls and dental injuries when participating in sports such as basketball, soccer, cycling, ice skating, and boxing. The front teeth are the most vulnerable to trauma. Therefore, it's best to wear a sports mouthguard before engaging in high-impact or contact sports to provide "magical armor" for these fragile teeth.

Even in activities where direct head impacts are less likely, mouthguards are recommended when there's a risk of falls, collisions, or forceful biting.
