Here are some techniques and insights for Punching Mitts training:

1. Basic target positions for Punching Mittss:

Straight punch; hook punch; uppercut; and body strikes.

 

2. Two-punch Punching Mitts practice:

Straight punch 1-2 combination target positions;

Front hook followed by back straight, back straight followed by front hook;

front hook followed by front swing, back hook followed by back swing;

front straight followed by back hook, front hook followed by back straight, back hook followed by front swing, front hook followed by back swing.

 

3. Three-punch Punching Mitts practice

Straight punch 1-1-2 combination target positions, 1-2-1 combination target positions, 2-1-2 combination target positions, 1-2-2 combination target positions;

Straight-swing combination 1-2-3 target position, 2-3-2 target position, 3-2-3 target position, 1-1-4 target position;

Hook-swing-straight combination followed by a rear hook, front swing followed by a rear straight punch, front hook, rear straight punch followed by a front swing.

 

4. Four-hit Punching Mitts practice

Straight punch 1-2-1-2 combo target positions,

1-2 combo followed by front swing and back straight,

1-2 combo followed by front swing and back hook punch,

1-2 combo followed by front swing and diagonal upward hook punch,

1-2 combo followed by front swing and back hand swing punch to the body.

 

5. Numbered Target Method

The above are the basic target positions for Punching Mittss.

Below, we introduce a slightly more challenging method for Punching Mittss: the numbered target method:

Arrange the target positions to be struck from 1 to 7:

When "1" is called, perform a front straight punch target,

When "2" is called, perform a "1-2 combination target,"

When "3" is called, perform a "1-2 combination followed by a swing punch target,"

When "4" is called, perform a "1-2 combination followed by a front swing and back straight punch target,"
