Dumbbell Row
Muscles Struck: Upper Back, Lat, Rear Delt, Biceps
Why Do This Exercise?
Dumbbell Rows are one of the most effective exercises for building back strength.
Unlike bodyweight pulling movements like pull-ups, rows allow you to adjust the resistance and directly work the muscles responsible for position and pulling force.
How to Do It
1. Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing inward.
2. Bend at the hips until your torso is almost parallel to the ground.
3. Keep your back flat and your core tight.
4. Pull the dumbbells toward your torso, keeping your elbows close to your body.
5. At the top of the movement, squeeze your shoulder blades together and slowly lower the dumbbells.
Dumbbell Shoulder Press

The dumbbell shoulder press ensures balanced shoulder development while also working the triceps and upper chest.

1. Hold a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height with your palms facing forward.
2. Lift the dumbbells overhead until your arms are fully extended.

The dumbbell curl effectively isolates the biceps and helps create nicely shaped, muscular arms.

2. Keep your elbows still at your sides as you curl the dumbbells up toward your shoulders.
3. Squeeze your biceps at the top and slowly and controlledly lower the dumbbells to the starting position.
