Low-Impact Steps

 

Walking

 

Description: Step forward with one foot, bend your knees, shift your center of gravity forward, and slightly lift the other foot, then land on the spot.

Alternatively, step back, shift your center of gravity backward, and slightly lift the other foot, then land on the spot.

 

Key Technique: Always alternate between landing on the ground with your feet.

Your center of gravity shifts forward and backward with the movement, but always remains between your feet.

 

Variations: Strolling with a twist, strolling with a jump.

 

Touching

 

Description: This type of movement involves elastic flexion and extension of the legs.

When touching the ground, one leg bends at the knee while the other leg straightens.

 

Key Technique: The knees should be flexed and extended elastically throughout the movement, including at the end. Both knees should remain slightly bent, not overly extended, which would compromise the elasticity inherent in calisthenics.

 

Variations: Front Touching, Side Touching, Back Touching

 

Toe Touching

 

Description: Stand with one leg slightly bent at the knee, extend the other leg, and touch the ground with the toes, then return to the legs together.

Key Techniques: Maintain a bent knee on the supporting leg, allowing for flexible flexion and extension throughout the movement.

 

Variations: Toe tapping forward, toe tapping to the side, toe tapping to the back

 

Heel tap

 

Description: Stand with one leg slightly bent.

Extend the other leg, tapping the heel, then return to the legs together.

Only forward and side heel taps are permitted.

 

Key Techniques: Maintain a bent knee on the supporting leg, allowing for flexible flexion and extension throughout the movement.

Maintain a high degree of elasticity and rhythm throughout the movement.
