Fitness Steps
Fitness steps are generally considered assistive equipment, consisting of two hollow square columns and a central horizontal board.
They're most commonly used for step aerobics, a more aerobic workout with excellent fat-burning effects.
In addition, they can be used to perform exercises like leg lifts, step push-ups, step-back leg kicks, squat jumps, and twists, all of which focus on lower-limb exercises.
Fitness Tires
Fitness tires are typically made from discarded tires, though some manufacturers also sell refurbished or new tires.
Tires come in various sizes, ranging from tens to hundreds of kilograms.
Training with tires isn't just about brute force; they're actually very effective for core strength training, and even many professional athletes use them in their daily training.
Tire exercises are actually quite fun and offer a wide variety of exercises.
For example, lower-limb exercises can include jumping jacks and tire pulls, while waist and abdominal exercises can include weighted push-ups.
The most popular exercise, tire rolls, is a comprehensive exercise that simultaneously targets the waist, abdomen, lower limbs, upper limbs, shoulders, and back.
Steppers
Steppers were all the rage for a while a couple of years ago.
They were near workstations and even in the homes of many friends.
The principle behind a stepper is somewhat similar to the motion of climbing a mountain or stairs, enhancing cardiovascular function while also strengthening the thigh and calf muscles.
But I've always felt that this machine is a bit too old-school.
Using it for core training or cardio is a bit of a waste of time, and it's far inferior to other fitness equipment.
If I have the time for this, I'd rather go climbing stairs or mountains.
