🔍 Analysis 7: Does touching the ground with your knee or body after catching the disc count as a "drop"?

A safe catch is determined solely by whether the disc is securely controlled. If you catch the disc in the air or while running, and any part of your body (such as your knee or back) subsequently touches the ground, the catch is still valid as long as the disc never leaves your control. You may then stand and pass the disc using the foot closest to the ground as your pivot foot.

🔍 Clarification 8: Does stepping on the line count as a score when catching in the end zone?

If both feet land within the end zone (excluding the end zone line) upon catching, the score is valid.

If one foot is on the line and the other is outside the sideline or end line (out of bounds), the score does not count, and the catch is invalid (out of bounds).

If a player catches the disc in the air and lands with their first foot on the end zone line (even if they step out of bounds afterward), the catch is valid as long as the first point of contact is on or inside the line.

To put it simply: boundary lines are not part of the playing field; they are out of bounds. Stepping on the line means you're out of bounds.
