So why was such a decision made? It is widely known that the differing rubber coatings on the front and back of a table tennis bat can significantly influence one's playing style. As a player, I was extremely particular about my bat, using the 'bounce serve' to torment opponents. With reverse rubber on the forehand and long pimples on the backhand, and both sides being identical in colour at the time, opponents found themselves at a disadvantage when facing serves, unsure whether to use their reverse rubber or long pimples. This situation prompted foreign players and coaches to collectively protest. To resolve this issue, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) was compelled to mandate that all players select rackets featuring distinct red and black colour schemes to differentiate between reverse and long pimples. While the rationale behind colour-coded rackets may seem somewhat perplexing, our players must adhere to the ITTF's regulations. Even so, foreign players still cannot defeat the Chinese national team in table tennis competitions. No matter how the rules are altered or formulated, Chinese table tennis athletes remain utterly unfazed. China remains invincible on the table tennis arena.
