"Happy Match" Game

 

Game Objective

 

To improve reaction time and enhance students' reaction speed, first-step starting and turning ability, and acceleration through proprioception stimulation.

 

How to Play

 

Marker Barrels B and C are 20 meters apart.

Marker Barrel A is placed between Barrels B and C.

Two students stand facing each other on either side of Marker Barrel A.

They bend their hips, knees, and ankles to reach a ready position, with their arms extended and fingertips touching.

 

The teacher designates one student as the chaser (requirements: the chaser must close their eyes and block out visual stimuli), and the other student as the chased.

 

At the start of the game, the chased student may turn around and run to the marker barrel behind them at any time.

When the chaser senses the tactile sensation (proprioception) on their fingertips disappears, they must immediately open their eyes and chase the chased student.

 

Game Rules

 

If the chaser touches any part of the chased's body before the chased reaches the marker barrel behind them, the chaser wins.

If the chased reaches the marker barrel behind them and the chased still hasn't touched any part of their body, the chased wins.

 

Notes

 

Teachers should select students of similar ability levels for the "Happy Match" game.

The distance between the marker barrels should not be too far, as this will affect the effectiveness of the practice.

The game should be played on a flat, open surface to avoid injuries.
