Wetsuit 5mm

Open, clean underwater environments without complex structures

Dry Suit Applicable Scenarios:

Cold-water diving (e.g., ice diving, Nordic regions, Antarctica, Qinghai Lake)

Extended periods underwater (e.g., wreck exploration, scientific sampling)

Technical diving projects (e.g., cave diving, mixed-gas diving, deep diving)

Deep dives with significant pressure changes requiring enhanced protection

Complex underwater environments with sharp rocks or sediment

Maintenance and Care

The lifespan of a diving suit depends heavily on how you clean, store, and maintain it.

Wet Suit Maintenance

Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after each dive, especially in folded areas such as the underarms, neck, and ankles.

If exposed to seawater, soak in fresh water for at least 20 minutes to remove salt.

Air dry naturally; avoid direct sunlight.

If there's an odor, soak it in a specialized cleaner.

Do not fold during storage-hang vertically using a wide hanger.

Dry Suit Maintenance

The zipper is critical; apply specialized zipper wax regularly to keep it lubricated.

When cleaning, prevent sand from entering the inflation and deflation valves.

Air dry naturally; avoid high heat sources.

Perform airtightness tests regularly to check for leaks.

Store in a semi-inflated state to prevent deformation or rubber aging.

Common Misconceptions and Recommendations

Misconception 1: Dry suits are warmer than wet suits, so they are suitable for everyone.
Correction: Dry suits prevent water ingress but not heat loss. True warmth comes from the inner thermal layer. Without it, you'll still feel cold.

Misconception 2: Wet suits that are not waterproof are poor quality.
Correction: Wet suits are intentionally designed to allow water in while trapping heat. Though you may feel wet, they still provide thermal protection.

Misconception 3: I only dive in tropical waters, so I don't need to learn about dry suits.
Correction: Dry suits aren't just for cold water-they also expand your diving possibilities, including winter diving in northern regions, underwater salvage, and technical diving.
