Mastering the ready stance and movement techniques under simple conditions


(1) Practice imitation exercises in place.
(2) Practice the ready stance facing or sideways to a mirror, observing whether the movements are correct.


(3) In pairs, one person performs the ready stance while the other corrects the movements.
(4) Perform one-step and two-step movements forward, backward, left, or right according to hand signals.


(5) Perform continuous movements according to hand signals.
(6) In pairs, one person moves in various directions, and the other follows, moving in the same direction.


(7) Jog around the field, and when you see a hand signal, stop abruptly and assume the ready stance.
(8) Practice combining the ready stance and movement. Start with movement, then stop abruptly and assume the ready stance upon seeing a hand signal or hearing a whistle, and then resume movement when you see another hand signal.

 

Combining court awareness with proper stance and movement techniques


(1) Continuously move forward and backward between the attack line and the center line. Touch the attack line and center line with your hands during the movement.
(2) Continuously move forward and backward between the end line and the attack line. Touch the end line and attack line with your hands during the movement.
(3) Practice moving in all directions within the court.


(4) In groups of 3-4 people, perform running in place with small steps, running in place with high knees, sit-ups, and push-ups at the end line. Upon hearing a whistle or seeing a hand signal, quickly start running forward to touch the attack line with your hands, then run backward to the end line.
(5) Within the court, move from one sideline to the other using crossover steps or sliding steps.

 

Combining Ball Handling with Preparation Stance and Movement Techniques


(1) In pairs, one person throws the ball forward, backward, left, and right, while the other person moves and catches the ball with both hands.
(2) In pairs, one person throws two balls alternately in various directions, while the other person moves and catches the balls alternately.
(3) A single person continuously catches various balls within the court, requiring the person throwing the ball to feed balls at different heights, distances, and speeds.


(4) Moving and catching ground balls practice. Two people stand diagonally opposite each other, each holding a ball, and simultaneously roll the balls forward, continuing the exercise.
(5) Three-on-three game. Using various feeding and catching methods behind the attack line, only one pass over the net is allowed, and the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. A ball touching the ground results in a loss of 1 point.
